At the rear of the house is a detached cottage called 'The Outback'. This is like a gatehouse at the entrance to the rear drive, but situated very close to the main house (10 metres door-to-door, across the gravel drive). It is completely private and exclusive to Courtyard Barn. There are no roads to cross as The Outback is entirely contained within the boundaries of our land.

The Outback is always available with the main house. We never let it separately. It means this whole property can sleep 10 - 20 people in a total of 8 double/twin/quad bedrooms (including 2 sofabeds). The main house also has the capacity to seat 20 people around the same table for main meals and social events.

The Outback is an ideal location for those who might prefer to sleep away from the main group.
